About

This website publishes the daily court lists for the Superior Court of Justice (Ontario) and the Ontario Court of Justice.

The Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice have authorized making these daily court lists publicly available so that litigants, counsel, members of the public and the media are able to locate the time and location of court proceedings.

The daily court lists include the case name, time, room number and reason for the court appearance.   This information is posted at 8:00 a.m. each day. This means that, every day at 8:00 a.m., the previous court day’s cases are removed, the current day's cases are updated and information about the next day's cases are added. For example, at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 1:

The case information will also be updated during the day and is subject to frequent change. Please check back often for updates.

Some cases are not included on the daily court lists, such as:

  1. Cases subject to statutory, common law or court-ordered public access restrictions. This includes adoptions, youth criminal cases (under the Youth Criminal Justice Act), child protection cases (under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act) and secure treatment applications (under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act).
  2. Provincial offences prosecutions (for example, prosecutions under the Highway Traffic Act) and municipal by-law prosecutions
  3. Cases involving a publication ban (imposed at any part of the proceedings) will be listed with an individual’s initials only, not the full name
  4. Cases updated or added after the daily court lists are posted
  5. Weekend and statutory holiday court hearings

To inquire about cases scheduled recently (i.e. one or two days prior to the court date), to confirm the information posted, or to find out about a case that is not posted, please contact the courthouse where you believe the case is being heard (See List of Ontario Court Addresses).
